The key is practice. Not only how much you practice (although that is important too) but how you practice.
Another misconception is that the only way to learn how to sing well is with private singing lessons from a local vocal coach. Nothing could be further from the truth! The fact is that many of those local vocal coaches are actually not very good at their job. It’s sad but true. And even more sad is that many of them have very bad attitudes. I know from personal experience. All three of the singing coaches I tried were just really not very nice people who were not encouraging at at all. They didn’t seem to realize that their job wasn’t to criticize my voice but instead to help me to get better.
I’m happy to say that I can now sing like an angel. If that sounds like I’m a bit full of myself, well, I guess I am. I’m just so proud of the work that I put in and that I’ve proven everyone wrong.
My voice used to be weak and I had a hard time staying in tune. That’s not the case anymore. And I didn’t do it with private singing lessons, instead I did it with lessons that I downloaded off the internet. And I believe that you can learn how to sing too if you follow my path.
Remember to believe in yourself and practice hard (and to practice right!) If you do that, then you will succeed.
